Wednesday March 4, 2009...The Hooters Tour is online! This is the first of many blogs I will be writing this year on the road, chronicling this crazy circus we all like to call developmental-tour golf.
This week we are lucky enough to be playing in the Amelia Island Plantation NGA Classic presented by Valley Crest in AmeliaIsland, Florida. It’s a fantastic part of the world and the Oak Marsh Golf Course that we are playing looks to be in great shape.
Although it hasn’t been warm the last couple of days the weather is supposed to get up into the mid-seventies later in the week which should be a welcome relief for those of us who have been at the mercy of mother nature the last couple of days (or depending on what part of the country you are- months). When I left Atlanta Monday morning there was ice and snow still on ground- Not exactly what we are used to in temperate Georgia even in early March. That being said such a fantastic setting by the beach should make for an enjoyable week.
If you see me around or play with me this year, don’t be hesitant to say hi and throw some constructive criticism my way. Suggestions for topics are always welcome. See you out there.
