Hitchcock Surges To Victory

Orlando, FL (October 30, 2008)…Tyler Hitchcock (Orlando, FL) carded a seven-under par 65 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 6820 yard, par 72 Stoneybrook East golf club to garner his first victory of the season.The twenty-two year old fired rounds of 71-66-65 for a three day total of fourteen-under par 202 and a three stroke victory over Matthew Borchert (Windermere, FL), Andrew Svoboda (Larchmont, NY) and Tim Hegarty (Scarborough, NY).
Hitchcock takes home $12,223 for his victory, while Borchert, Svoboda and Hegarty take home $5,030 for their runner-up finishes. With the victory, Hitchcock moves into first place on the season long money list. The top ten players on the money list at season’s end earn full exempt status for the 2009 Hooters Tour.
The Bridgestone Winter Series will return to Stoneybrook East next week for week two of the twelve week series.
