The Bridgestone Winter Series-Week Three

Haines City, FL (November 13, 2008)…With two straight birdies on the 18th hole Thursday, Kevin Warrick (Valrico, FL) captured his first victory of the season at The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 6893 yard, par 72 Diamondback golf club.The twenty-eight year old earned a spot in a playoff with Rob Johnson (Orlando, FL) after firing rounds of 68-70-69 for a three day total of nine-under par. After hitting his second shot on the par four 18th hole to within six feet, Warrick calmly drained the putt for the win after Johnson’s birdie attempt missed on the low side of the hole.
Warrick, a former University of West Florida golfer, takes home $11,755 for his victory, while Johnson takes home $6,159 for his runner-up finish. With the victory, Warrick moves into third place on the season long money list with $12,602. The top ten players on the money list at season’s end earn full exempt status for the 2009 Hooters Tour.
The Bridgestone Winter Series will travel to Harmony, Florida next week and the Harmony Golf Preserve for week four of the Bridgestone Winter Series.
