Wilkes-Krier Surges to Victory

Harmony, FL (November 20, 2008)…Patrick Wilkes-Krier (Orlando, FL) carded a six-under par 66 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 7248 yard, par 72 Harmony Golf Preserve golf course to garner his first victory of the season.
 
The former BallState golfer fired rounds of 71-69-66 for a three day total of ten-under par 206 and a one stroke victory over Brian Stuard (Jackson, MI). Stuard, who started the day with the lead, closed with a three-under par 69.
 
Wilkes-Krier takes home $12,226 for his victory, while Stuard takes home $6,113 for his second place finish. With the victory, Wilkes-Krier moves into third place on the season long money list. The top ten players on the money list at season’s end earn full exempt status for the 2009 Hooters Tour.
 
The Bridgestone Winter Series takes a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to action December 2-4 at Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, Florida.
