Calabash, NC (January 7, 2010)…Adam McKenney (Evans, GA) outlasted Tony Parrish (North Myrtle Beach, SC) and Luke Hart (Blythewood, SC) in a three hole playoff to secure his first professional win at the Carolina Winter Series Event at Crow Creek Golf Club. The 23 year old former Georgia Southwestern golfer posted rounds of 72-70-72 in only his second professional tournament to finish in a tie at two under par 214 with Parrish and Hart at the end of 54 holes.
McKenney takes home $2,500 for the win while Parrish and Hart each receive $1,250 for their runner up tie.
The Top 5 members on the 2009/10 Carolina Winter Series money list will earn full exempt status on the 2010 NGA/Hooters Tour Pro Series.
Next up, The Carolina Winter Series travels to River Hills Country Club in Little River, SC, January 12-14, 2010 for the ninth event of the series.
