North Myrtle Beach, SC (March 20, 2010)…Steve Ford (Melbourne, FL) finished what he started in rounds one and two, going wire to wire to capture the Carolina Summer Series event at the challenging Tidewater Golf Club in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
 
Ford, a seven time winner on the NGA/Hooters Pro Series, carded rounds of 72-75-78 en route to nine over par 225, giving the Florida native a one stroke win over Kellen Altman (Myrtle Beach, SC) who finished at ten over par 226.
 
Bryan Buie (North Myrtle Beach, SC) finished in solo 3rd position after finishing at twelve over par 228, while Dustin Adair (Woodruff, SC) posted fourteen over par 227 and a solo 4th place finish. 
 
Ford takes home $3,200 for the victory, while Altman receives $1,700 for his runner-up finish.  
 
The top 10 members at season’s end will earn full exempt status for the 2011 Hooters Pro Series as well as the Top 3 finishers each event will be exempt into the following weeks Pro Series event.
 
The top three this week will be playing for a $250,000 purse in Hickory, NC at Rock Barn Golf and Spa.
                                                                                                       
The Carolina Summer Series travels to Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, NC April 7-9, 2010 for the second event of the 2010 season.
