Taylors, S.C...Mike Tschetter, of Fort Worth, Texas, used a
bogey-free round to go along with 4 birdies to win the 5th Hooters
Classic at Pebble Creek Country Club in Taylors, South Carolina.
He finished the tournament at 7-under par and one stroke better
than Scott Kammann of Knoxville, Tennessee. Tschetter earned $20,150
for the victory, his first on the NGA/Hooters Tour. Along with his
victory, Tschetter was able to earn an additional $5,000 after he
birdied the toughest hole on the golf course. "It was a 30-footer
for birdie, I was lucky enough to make it because I had the exact
same putt today, but I missed it," said Tschetter.
Next week the NGA/Hooters Tour is off, then the week of March 27
to April 2 they will be at Emerald Lake Golf Club in Matthews,
North Carolina for the Jackaroo Steakhouse and Sauce Classic.
